Tickets, Tours and Packages at a Glance

Live offers from our booking partner for Belvedere Palace – individual tickets, guided tours and combo packages with up-to-date prices and available time slots.

Prices and availability come directly from Tiqets and change constantly. Official museum rates are published on belvedere.at.

Belvedere ticket prices look confusing at first because three venues are billed separately. Sort them by what you actually want to see, and only three decisions remain.

Individual tickets by venue

Day prices per venue (adult, reduced, disability card)
VenueAdults65+ / students <26Disability cardUnder 19
Upper Belvedere€23€19€8free
Lower Belvedere€20€16€8free
Belvedere 21€12€8€5free

Companions of visitors with disabilities enter free. The student rate has an age cap of 26 – a student card alone doesn’t qualify beyond that.

Family example

Two adults with two children (12 and 16) pay €46 at the Upper Belvedere – not the €70–90 people often assume. Under-19s enter free, so there’s no need for a family ticket.

Combo tickets: when they pay off

TicketPriceIncludesPays off if …
2-in-1€32Upper + Lower Belvedere… you want to see the current exhibition. Saves €11.
3-in-1€34Both palaces + Belvedere 21… you care about contemporary art. Saves €21.
Gold Pass€49One year, all venues, all exhibitions… you live in Vienna or keep coming back.

Combo tickets are valid over a period – typically several days – so you don’t have to cram all venues into one day. verify combo validity period

Standard, skip-the-line or guided tour?

Beyond the museum rate there are reseller offers bundling admission with extras. The mark-up isn’t a scam – it pays for the guide, headsets and reserved entry time. It’s just not for everyone.

Discounts and free admission

  • Children and teens under 19 – free in all venues, year-round, no registration.
  • Students under 26 – €19 instead of €23 at the Upper Belvedere. ID is checked.
  • Seniors 65+ – same reduced rate.
  • Disability card (45%+) – €8 at the Upper and Lower Belvedere, €5 at Belvedere 21.
  • Companions – free.
  • ICOM members, Friends of the Belvedere, Bundesmuseen Card – free entry, no time slot needed.
  • Groups of 10 or more – reduced group rate with advance registration.
Free admission day?

Unlike some Viennese museums, the Belvedere has no regular free weekday. One-off events – such as the Long Night of Museums in autumn – use separate tickets. check the events calendar

Gold Pass and city passes

The museum’s own Gold Pass costs €49 and is valid for a year at all venues, temporary exhibitions included. It beats single tickets from the third visit – almost always worth it for locals, rarely for tourists.

City passes like the Vienna Pass include Belvedere admission. Whether that maths works depends on your pace: you need roughly three paid sights per day to break even. The Vienna City Card usually grants a discount rather than free entry. verify current pass conditions with the provider

Buy online or at the desk?

The list price is identical online and on site – you save time, not money. Three reasons still favour booking online:

  1. Time slots are capped. On busy days the morning is sold out before you reach the desk.
  2. No ticket-desk queue. You walk straight to admission control.
  3. Cancellation. Many online tickets can be cancelled free up to 24 hours before the slot – the desk gives no refunds.

Counterpoint: if you value flexibility and visit on a Tuesday in February, buying on site is perfectly fine.
